This is a hands-on course which accompanies a web portion administered on Gilbarco Veeder Roots LMS system. The web portion must be completed prior to attendance at the hands-on classroom training.

This class is intended for technicians who are both new and experienced in the service station electronic equipment service industry. Course is intended for technicians desiring recognition by Gilbarco/Veeder-Root, Inc. Encore 300/500, Eclipse, and Legacy Pumps and Dispensers for warranty service and technical support.

Prerequisite:
6 Months Field Experience
Web portion of the course prior administered on the Gilbarco Veeder Root LMS system to attending this hands on portion.

Here are the steps for attaining Dispenser Certification:

1. The ASC selects a candidate who has sound basic computer skills and is good working with software, hardware and the public.

2. The ASC determines available training dates on our Schedule Link to the left of our website.

3. The candidate will be enrolled by the certified trainer. The candidate will get an email confirming he has been enrolled in the web portion of the course by GVR and by Spigler Petroleum.

4. Before the candidate attends the course at the Spigler training center, the candidate must complete the web-based training phase that will take approximately ten to fifteen hours of undistracted effort. He must achieve the announced minimum score before he can begin the next phase.

5. The candidate will attend a five day resident training course at our training facility. The candidate will acquire the hands-on skills and additional knowledge to become certified. The candidate must pass both a final exam on GVRs LMS system and a skills demonstration to satisfy the certified trainer.

7. The candidate will be eligible to re-certify after two years.

To sign up for this course, please download the registration forms. Forms need to filled out completely, including technician number when available, and mailed to the registrar with payment. After payment is received the student will then registered with GVR, where they will be issued an online course through GVR's learning management system. The LMS system can be found at http://wise.gilbarco.com.

*Notice: It is a Gilbarco requirement that students bring laptops with either wireless Ethernet or hardwire Ethernet connection with them to all classes. Alger Electric, Inc. will provide internet access to the students at no additional charge for the required additional Gilbarco Veeder-Root materials and online testing. Laptops with Windows Vista not recommended!
